About his Poems Grown up in the ancient city of Mayi(now Shuozhou) at Yanmen Pass beyond the Great Wall, ZHAO Rong is an artist who measures the world with his feet. Having a keen passion for archaeological sites and ancient capital cities, he throws himself constantly on the road, of which there is no end, pursuing and feeling with his heart. Writing, photographing, drawing and painting are his frequent companions on the road. Honeymoon in Egypt, pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, brilliant colors in Morocco, New Year in Jerusalem, cold rainy night in Nara, fifteen thousand kilometers across Xinjiang, Roman theater in Taormina, lazy afternoon in Croatia, revisiting of Regent’s Park in London…… in poetry there is freedom, where is the next city remains unknown.
