“Our inheritance is made up of stories, anecdotes, and tradition. And many of our traditions, especially our holidays, are closely related to food. That’s why I’ve written down the recipes that have been passed on from generation to generation within my family,” says Ruth Melcer. She grew up in the Polish city Tomaszów Mazowiecki as one of the 13,000 Jews living there before 1939.
