A former actor, he joined Selig in the early years on Hollywood, when Selig operated his Western studio in Edendale / Los Angeles. Colin directed one of the first "Blockbuster" in Hollywood, he made the first "Garden of Allah", his "Carpet of Bagdad" was on board in the "Lusitania", he directed Sessue Hayakawa, the Japanese star-actor who played in Japanese officer in "The Bridge on the River Kwai". Colin Campbell was surnomed "The Sphinx of Hollywood," he was already forgotten in the late Twenties and remained unknown not only to the public but also to most film historian. This is the first biography and presentation of Colin Campbell's motion pictures, based on historical sources and documents.
