The Symposium on World Cultural Heritage has been organized by the City of Hildesheim in cooperation with the University of Hildesheim and the Fachhochschule Hildesheim/Holzminden/Göttingen with the financial support of the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, the EXPO 2000 Hannover GmbH, the European Union and the UNESCO World Heritage Centre. This documentation gives testimony to the wide spectrum covered in the meeting, the quality of approachesapplied in different parts of the world and the creative ideas developed with respect to the HildesheimEXPO project. It was indeed encouraging for us to be offered the cooperation and support for the realizationof the project by the international community of experts.
