Our world goals

At last we have a plan that outlines goals for the future of the world, something more challenging than landing on the Moon. The UN has laid down the tracks for a sustainable future for the Earth; now we are acting together. In 2015, 17 goals were declared, but unfortunately not so many people know about them. This is crucial knowledge, so I have made this book about them for everyone, not least school pupils. I have composed fable verses combined with pictures, so the goals can be understood and remembered. People remember best when they see pictures, so I have painted the accompanying watercolours - and rhymes also make things easier to remember... Homi Kharas from the Brooking Institution says: "We have a common framework that coordinates our various areas of development, like security, environment, human rights and humanitarian aid. Our global goals unify them all. It can lead to great change." It is not good enough that they are acknowledged politically, they have to be widely known and acted on by ordinary people! Such ideas connected with our common global goals should be shared.
