This second volume in our series is primarily intended to serve as a companion text to the second semester mathematics prelims for students and instructors of electrical engineering and other engineering disciplines. Clearly and concisely, and without too much abstraction, it introduces freshmen to the topics covered in the basic mathematics lectures. This second volume also provides students at universities and applied universities with a largely accurate but always descriptive presentation to provide a practical aid to entry into higher mathematics. Mathematical terms are clearly motivated, systematically equated and visualized in many animations. Mathematical proofs are almost completely renounced. Instead, a lot of applications support not only the application of mathematics but also contribute to a better understanding of mathematics. A large number of examples and applications illustrate and deepen the material and the numerous exercises (with solutions on the homepage of the book) facilitate the preparation for the exam.
