Okay Özdag is a guitar player and a composer who performed at various prestigious stages both in Turkey and in Germany. His program includes pieces of his own composition and various works belonging to different periods of classical guitar literature. His works have a distinct Anatolian atmosphere, and they already inspired many guitar players. Also, his 81 traditional Anatolian pieces have been arranged for classical guitar. The original melodic features were preserved as much as possible during the arrangements of these pieces. Western classical music harmony and oriental maqam structure has been used together while arranging these 81 traditional Anatolian pieces. Folk melodies have been thought as a musical material and harmonization of these melodies has been done according to western classical music harmony rules as much as possible.
